Full rebrand design for a bespoke milliner >

"Helen was wonderful to work with and I'm delighted with the logo and brand identity she has created. I really wasn't sure what I wanted in terms of a logo but Helen took a lot of care to talk through my ideas with me and do her research. She has created a truly beautiful logo design that I feel really embodies my brand."

Angharad Redman - Business Owner, AR Millinery

I was tasked with developing an exciting, unique, sophisticated and memorable brand and emblem design for this growing artistic business. The logo needed to be easily adaptable for use in different formats, shapes and sizes, and printed on different materials from tiny hat labels to large hat box packaging. The brand needed to have a consistent and recognisable message to grow consumer interest and loyalty in a crowded marketplace. My client wanted to target the type of demographic who attend events like the Ascot races and other special events, such as weddings, where headwear is usually worn. I created a logo emblem that works hard to communicate on behalf of the business, sending a variety of messages about the brand instantly. At first glance, the audience will recognise high quality and sophistication from the 'coat of arms' style of emblem, hinting at a regal seal of approval, but in a more modern and approachable style. The logo communicates my client's unique selling points visually, showing the artistry, skill and uniqueness in each piece of headwear through a combination of delicate swirls and natural shapes.. Her service is person-centric - by taking time to listen to her clients and create bespoke pieces from their ideas, she ensures that they're always happy and confident wearing her products. I communicated this message in the logo by using subtle head shapes with two slightly smiling faces; they look outwards and upwards confidently, with the swirls and shapes around their heads representing beautiful figments of their imaginations coming to life as headwear. Deliverables in this project were:

  • RE-BRAND AND NEW LOGO EMBLEM DESIGN

  • BRAND COLOUR SCHEME AND FONTS

  • BRAND MARKETING ELEMENTS, ASSETS AND PATTERNS

  • BRANDED SOCIAL MEDIA BANNERS

  • PACKAGING AND LABEL DESIGN

Further expansion of the brand onto labels, fabrics and gold foil print for extra special occasions...
